Should Investors Focus on High Yielding Equities?

Chuck Carnevale, in an article posted at Seeking Alpha, analyzes whether it’s preferable for investors to focus on higher yielding stocks. Carnevale looks at quality and historical growth rates and comes to the conclusion that investors would do better with lower yielding, higher growth stocks. His analysis is favorable towards Abbott Labs (ABT), McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc (MHP), Sysco Corporation (SYY), Automatic Data Processing (ADP), and Procter & Gamble Company (PG).
