VDEFear and volatility were high today with renewed Coronavirus concerns dropping the DJIA over 1,000 points. It is impossible to know when the current wave of selling will subside given the unpredictability of the virus. However, I’m remaining committed to the speculative move into resources related equities where it may be darkest before the dawn.

Therefore, a position was initiated in the Vanguard Energy ETF (VDE) today at $69.15. VDE now represents 8.9% of the SMA portfolio.
