Value Line Makes a Rare Reduction in Recommended Allocation to Equities

Value Line, which has a better than average track record, believes the market has come too far too fast and there is a risk of severe reversal if the economic data disappoints. In its August 21st issue, Value Line reduced its recommended equity allocation to the range of 60% to 70%.

SMA Comment: On October 24, 2008, Value Line had a recommended allocation to common stocks of 75% – 85%.
