Thomas Friedman Has Sympathy For Those Who Short China

In an op-ed at the N. Y. Times, Thomas Friedman, author of The World is Flat, presents the bullish case for China. Despite well-known problems, Friedman believes China has the foreign currency reserves, massive brain power and discipline to control out-of-control bubbles, which will allow continued prosperity. He doesn’t think short seller Jim Chanos is hunting in the right part of the world when Chanos said he was looking for shorts in China.
