Seth Klarman: The Right Price is Everything

By on June 20, 2010

Tom Brakke, at The Research Puzzle blog, has written an interesting expose’ on the investment philosophy of stellar hedge fund manager Seth Klarman. An excerpt:

Klarman says that your approach must fit your character. If you aren’t willing to wait around for opportunities, don’t enjoy looking for bargains, and can’t bring yourself to lean against the conventional wind, then “you’re not a value investor, and you shouldn’t be one.” Know thyself is the first principle of investing.
