Selling BT Group PLC

By on September 13, 2019

stock market sectorsDue to the impending termination of the U. S. traded ADRs in BT Group PLC (BT), I intend on selling the shares held in the SMA Portfolio by the close of business today. BT has rallied 9 percent since its low of $9.63 on August 23rd. Over the longer term, BT has been a severe underperformer falling nearly 30% in the past 12 months and 50% over the past five years.

Overall, I’m realizing a 17% loss on BT Group since it was purchased May 18, 2018. BT performed well initially, but floundered over the past six months.

A limit sell order of $10.55 has been entered, but may need to be modified to purge this position.

Value investing remains treacherous despite its small comeback in the past week.
