Jeremy Grantham 7 Year Expected Returns…Not Bad

By on September 13, 2008

Jeremy Grantham, chairman of Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. (GMO), which manages many billions of dollars, anticipates that investing in high quality equities across the board and those in the emerging markets will provide decent returns over a seven year time horizon.

GMO frequently issues their seven year forecast and have been extremely accurate in which asset classes will outperform and those which will underperform. Grantham has sometimes been prematurely bearish, but over time his forecasts have been more right than wrong. In my opinion, GMO’s views have been much more accurate than most pundits and Wall Street firms.
