James Grant, “Astoundingly twisted interest rate structure”

By on April 19, 2011

James Grant was recently interviewed at length by Consuela Mack.  Grant was very vocal regarding the current interest rate policy of the Fed.  He was critical of the morality of providing zero percent returns on savings while allowing speculators to borrow at virtually no cost.

Grant was also concerned about the inflation creep accepted by the Fed as desirable.  Grant provided one investment idea in the commercial real estate area; Annaly Capital Management (NLY).
