Hans Rosling Shows the World in a Fascinating Light

By on March 5, 2009

Hans Rosling, professor of global health at Sweden’s Karolinska Institute, enthusiastically presents a visual feast of interesting data on mortality and wealth throughout the world. Rosling admits that some of the data could be inaccurate, but the differences outweigh the flaws they might contain. One thing the presentation shows is that the world benefits greatly when free markets are allowed to flourish.

Unfortunately, we have hit a major speed bump due to lax regulation with regard to mortgage origination and poor monetary policy from the U. S. Federal Reserve. It would be interesting see an update to Rosling’s presentation in a couple of years.
