Dennis Gartman Says Stocks Going Higher
Dennis Gartman, editor of The Gartman Letter, was on CNBC today providing his latest views on a variety of asset classes. Gartman sees stocks and gold going higher, while oil has no choice but to go lower with older wells previously drilled being completed.
Gartman predicted the dollar would go higher, particularly in relation to the euro.
When asked if the Fed would hike rates in September, Gartman laughed and said probably not, but possibly in December. He added that the US had the strongest economy in the world, underpinning the dollar.
A year ago, Gartman said the bottom was in for oil [link].
