Could the Internet Stifle GDP Growth?

Joe Weisenthal, editor of Clusterstock, poses the question as to whether increasing use of the web could slow GDP growth and bankrupt the government. It’s an interesting observation and one that shouldn’t be totally dismissed. Internet usage and gaming are low cost forms of entertainment which don’t necessarily generate much in the way of financial transactions.
