Ben Stein, "I don’t have any magical powers to foresee the future"
Ben Stein, fairly famous commentator on stocks and economics, and as chronicled here, a dunderhead when it comes to forecasting anything regarding the markets, stated the obvious in an article in today’s N. Y. Times.
Of course, according to Stein, it wasn’t his fault, but the failure of Henry Paulson to bailout Lehman Brothers that caused him to be so wrong. Never mind that he had been dead wrong up to the point where Lehman even became an issue.
